Learning English
While many are tempted initially by the varied programme of recreational, sporting and social activities on offer at WSA, it’s our superb English tuition that sets the consistently high academic standard throughout the Summer School.
Classes run every morning and cater for a range of ability levels, from beginner to advanced. All students undertake a placement test shortly after arrival, conducted by the Director of Studies, and designed to give teaching staff an understanding of where each student is in terms of language acquisition, before allocating them to a suitable group.
Under the guidance of the Director of Studies, our well qualified teachers are then given the scope to use the teaching methods they see fit, the school does however pride itself on delivering:
- Classes grouped by ability for optimum learning environment
- Qualified, experienced EFL teachers
- Confidence-building activities encouraging fluency and practical communication skills
- Weekly progress checks and departure certificate to demonstrate improvement
- Option of linking student’s progress to internationally renowned “Cambridge" Examinations
