Welfare Officer
Welfare Officers will be responsible for the overall well-being of the students in our care and is one of the most valued positions in the Summer School. We’d like to hear from candidates who enjoy caring for young people and who are resolutely patient, sensitive and caring.
Reporting to the Centre Director, Welfare Officers will work with House Parents to ensure the health and happiness of visiting students at all times. Duties will be varied, but will include supervising hygiene and cleanliness as well as offering a sympathetic ear for students who may be missing home and find themselves in need of a kind word and a friendly face.
No specific qualifications are required, though a genuine enjoyment of working with children and the ability to demonstrate a caring ethos through thick and thin are essential character traits for this challenging, yet rewarding position.
Fixed salary of £400 per week.
